Future Thota Tools

Web-based drone-mapping tools built for the field, not the GIS lab — edit site boundaries and generate flight-controller-ready waypoint missions right in the browser, so a boundary or a mission is a few clicks away from anywhere.

Built to skip QGIS, not replace it

Tested and refined against real DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise (M3E/M3T/M3M) and Mavic 4 Enterprise (M4E/M4T/M4M) mapping and waypoint missions — draw or edit a boundary, drag a vertex, generate a lawnmower flight path, and export a flight-controller-ready mission file, all without opening a GIS application. QGIS is powerful, but its polygon and line editing workflow is slow going for a quick field edit.

Still plays well with your GIS stack

Trace a boundary directly on an orthophoto, then export it as GeoJSON or KML to bring into QGIS or another GIS tool for further processing — a fast front end for boundary work, not a replacement for your existing pipeline.

FAQ

Does In Field work with my drone?

Yes — In Field is tested against real DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise (M3E, M3T, M3M) and Mavic 4 Enterprise (M4E, M4T, M4M) mapping and waypoint missions. The exported file is a standard DJI flight-controller mission, so it isn't limited to one model either.

Do I need to install QGIS?

No — boundary and waypoint editing both happen in the browser. QGIS (or another GIS tool) is still useful for further processing after exporting a GeoJSON or KML boundary, but it's optional, not required.

Is it free to use?

Yes, In Field is free — we just ask for an email address before you start, mainly so we can reach you about an issue with an export.
